About Chef Jean-Pierre Weingarten
Chef Jean-Pierre Weingarten of Alchemy Cuisine was destined to become a chef. He was named after his two restauranteur god-fathers, Jean and Pierre Lafons, who owned a famous brasserie in Paris, called “La Coupole,” a denizen for both artists and artisans alike. Throughout his life of traveling and living around the world with his family, Jean-Pierre sampled and enjoyed many types of cuisine.
When Jean-Pierre graduated from high school in Brussels, Belgium, his parents took him to one of the best restaurants in the world in Brussels: “Comme Chez Soi” (loosely translated as “Like At Your Home”). That changed Jean-Pierre’s view on dining forever. He realized that it was about the experience, which included the food, the service, and the ambiance to create a magical, dining event.
Chef Jean-Pierre is the alchemist who lovingly gathers fresh, organic and local ingredients and transmutes them to create a magical palate sensation.
Chef Jean-Pierre has over thirty years in the hospitality industry and specializes in creating that celebratory space during the holiday season, on special occasions, and anytime an extraordinary dining experience is desired in the comfort of your home, retreat space or other venue.
“It’s not just the food, it’s the experience. The only thing you need to lift is your fork or your glass of beverage.”
